Oil on panel, 8.25" x 11.75", framed in white washed wood spoon moulding, 13.5" x 17" approx.  This is a study for the much larger "Sand Ripples". Painted from a watercolour sketch done on the beach. This scene is a once in a lifetime image as the sand only appeared for one summer after major storms and has never returned to this normally rock pooled beach. Transient beauty.
